Frequently asked questions
How long will it take for my dog to be groomed?
Each dog/ groom is different so we can't give an exact answer on how long the groom will take. The time depends on a number of things e.g: The size of the dog/ coat type and condition/ the style requested/ their temperament/ breed and age. When you first enquire about a groom we ask a few basic questions to give us/ you an estimated idea on how long we can expect your appointment to last. For the first visit we always add a bit of extra time to fully understand the dog and its likes/ dislikes. At no point do we want to rush or have them experience any stress. We allow the dog several breaks throughout the groom and try to make their experience as relaxing as possible.

Can I stay with my dog during their groom?
Unfortunately we do not allow owners to be in the room whilst we groom their dog. This is because dogs tend to be more difficult to work with when the owner is present and can often make the process a lot harder than necessary. We invite customers and their dogs to view the groom room in advance to see how their dogs react to the environment. These introductions allows us the opportunity to get to know you and your dog so that everyone will become comfortable and relaxed during their visit and groom.

What to expect for the appointment?
We ask you to arrive at the exact time you have been given for your appointment. If you are early we may not be in a position to grant you immediate access. Please come through the first gate where you will see our sign and a Ring Doorbell. We ask you to ring the bell and wait until someone comes out to assist you. We will double check the services you require and you will be advised on any adjustments needed/ necessary. We will then take your dog for their groom and you will be contacted with a time to collect your dog. Payments will be made at the end of the groom and can be paid by cash or bank transfer.

My dog is matted, how can I stop this?
Regular brushing is key! We recommend you use a good slicker brush on your dog 2/3 times a week. This will help prevent any matts from getting out of control. Pay close attention to areas that mat easily: behind the ears and legs, in the armpits, on the undercarriage and where the collar or halter rubs. Always be gentle when using a slicker brush and it is not advisable to use the slicker on the face.

Can I bring some treats for my dog?
Of course! Treats are strongly encouraged as they help with the dogs focus and patience during their groom. We will always ask permission from the owner before offering any treats to avoid any dietary issues or allergies. We only ever provide treats that are full of goodness with natural ingredients.

What if I am not happy with the service me or dog receives?
We will always try our best to meet your standards, however if you are not happy with the service that you have received would like the chance to put things right. We offer a 24 hour opportunity for you to raise your concern with us so we can discuss and carry out the best outcome for everyone.
